A healthy community is one in which all people feel welcome and see opportunities. All residents in a healthy community have access to safe and affordable housing, adequate minimum income, good quality education, employment opportunities, food security, transport and healthcare.
In addition, a healthy community will offer a range of opportunities for social and spiritual engagement, emotional wellbeing, arts and other cultural experiences, and physical activity including sport.
Importantly in a healthy community ALL residents will have opportunities to actively contribute to community wellbeing
1. Promoting and celebrating active and responsive citizenship.
2. Strengthening regional leadership.
3. Working with key partners to improve the physical and social health of all residents.
4. Promoting Ballarat as a vibrant and progressive regional city and region and a great place to live,
work and invest.
