25 Nov 2015

Committee for Ballarat has launched a new marketing and television campaign to highlight just how good our local region is.

Ballarat – The Moment is Now campaign, supported by the City of Ballarat, captures Ballarat in all its glory, calling all of us to be proud of our region, our enviable lifestyle, and as we look to the future, we have much to celebrate about our rich quality of life.

"Our members are the lifeblood of Committee and this project came about because our members said Ballarat needs to engage, promote and celebrate what makes our city and region special and unique," commented Janet Dore, Chair Committee for Ballarat.

"In developing the essence of this campaign showcasing our lifestyle in a way that captures how we feel about our great region, this campaign has been a collaboration of Committee members, the creative team at Ballarat agency, Mass Motion, and the local community talent who became actors for a day," commented John Kilgour, CEO Committee for Ballarat.

‘Supporting your local footy team, running around Lake Wendouree, enjoying our culinary delights, listening to a "a band in one of our nightspots is but a snapshot of what Ballarat and the region provides for us every day – the moment is now Ballarat. it is a way to promote ourselves amongst ourselves, pat ourselves on the back and work towards preserving what really makes us special," Mr Kilgour said.

The campaign was launched on Monday 23 November 2015 at M.A.D.E by the Hon. Jaala Pulford, Minister for Regional Development, with a three-minute marketing video produced. A series of 60-, 30- and 15-second television commercials have been created and will go to air on local networks in Ballarat from 27 November. You can view the videos here
