We are delighted to announce the appointment of Melanie Robertson as the CEO for Committee for Ballarat. Melanie will commence in the role on 2 May.
Melanie has a track record of advocacy, collaboration and financial management across private and public sector operations. In her most recent position as Manager of the Waubra Wind Farm & Asset Services, she was responsible for delivering a $90m budget, improving workplace culture and community engagement.
Having made a commitment to Ballarat with her family in 2000, Melanie is passionate about ensuring a prosperous sustainable future for her children in our region. Her qualifications include a Masters in Environmental Engineering Management and she is currently undertaking an MBA.
Melanie is well-known and respected within state and federal government circles, and her background in environmental engineering, policy development, education and project management make her a great fit with Committee’s agenda.
Chair Janet Dore is looking forward to having Melanie on board. "I am confident she will provide strong leadership for Committee and will take up the challenges we face as a region," she said.
Members will have an opportunity to meet Melanie at the launch of Committee’s Strategic Plan 2016–20 on 10 May.
