Opportunity to mentor a young adult

05 Oct 2012

The third group of young adults is about to embark on the first part of their journey to empowerment. Fifteen (15) young adults will commence the Young Adult Empowerment (YAE) program on Monday 8 October. The YAE program aims to support disengaged and unemployed young adults with practical opportunities that will empower them to change their lives. We believe there are significant benefits not only for individual participants, but the health, wellbeing and prosperity of the whole community. The program consists of  two parts: Part 1: YAE Empowerment program (5 days a week for 4 weeks) Participants* will learn first-hand through experiences and activities the skills they need to get and keep a job. (*each program will have 15 participants) Part 2: YAE Employment program Participants who successfully complete Part 1 will be matched with a job and receive ongoing training and mentoring opportunities to support them in their new job. You can make a crucial contribution to the program by becoming a mentor. Read more about metoring here Click here to find out more about YAE
