Committees for Cities – working together

18 Oct 2012

11 ‘Committees for’ recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that establishes a commitment to work collaboratively. Each signatory to the MOU has agreed to operate in a collegiate and cooperative manner, to engage in open discussion on common issues, to exchange information on their current strategic directions and to research projects and work together on projects of mutual interest.  ‘Committees for’ are member-based organisations that champion initiatives to significantly improve the economic, social, cultural and environmental wellbeing of their communities. They are not politically motivated or aligned and work collaboratively with many groups, stakeholders and organisations that are also acting in the best interests of their communities. Inaugural Committee for Cities members: Committee for Melbourne, Committee for Sydney, Committee for Wyndham, Committee for Geelong, Committee for Auckland, Committee for Ballarat, Committee for Perth, Committee for Portland, Committee for Gippsland, Committee for Echuca Moama and Committee for Wagga.
