Introducing our new 'Brand Ballarat' project

We are excited to introduce this new project, approved by the Board at its August meeting. We want to develop a compelling story about Ballarat and region that will attract capital investment to facilitate social and economic growth.

The Brand Ballarat story will capitalise on our unique heritage and attributes to promote our region as a centre of excellence and leader in innovative thinking. It will highlight the unique proposition under each of Committee’s six strategic drivers (identified in our Strategic Action Plan 2013-18) and will be used to engage with key stakeholder groups and to lobby the three tiers of government.

Project focus

  1. The promotion of Ballarat and region as a thriving and innovative regional centre that will attract business and government investment – engaging with key stakeholder groups
  2. The development a Major Events Precinct that will deliver a thriving hub centred around community use, regional entertainment and elite sport – working collaboratively with City of Ballarat 
  3. The revitalisation of Ballarat’s CBD as a vibrant and thriving retail, commercial, residential, educational and cultural precinct that fosters creativity and innovation while respecting our proud cultural heritage and streetscapes – influencing strategic planning and development
