Committee for Ballarat, in conjunction with the Bank of Melbourne, held a Business Forum this morning at Craig’s Royal Hotel. Mike Day, is a founding partner of RobertsDay, and well renowned Planning, Design and Place Consultant, discussed and shared his views on Ballarat’s vision for 2040, the preliminary Ballarat Strategy and current proposed works.
Committee for Ballarat Chair, Judy Verlin, stated “this forum provides a unique opportunity for members and guests to hear from a leading expert who has been responsible for delivering an array of urban renewal projects and new towns throughout Australia, New Zealand and the UAE”. “Having worked extensively with Mike on a number of key projects over the years, he is well qualified to share his views and opinions on how we bring what is an excellent broad vision for Ballarat, through to reality”, said John Kilgour, Committee for Ballarat CEO. This forum was the first of a series of business events sponsored by the Bank of Melbourne, bringing Committee for Ballarat members and guests together to discuss the critical issues that will support the delivery of key projects enabling long term social and economic growth in Ballarat and the greater region.
