Beyond 2020 – Population Growth, Liveability, Sustainability, Connectivity, Leadership

16/07/2020

Thanks to those who participated in our webinar at the end of June with The Hon Malcolm Turnbull. We were privileged to have Australia’s 29 Prime Minister join us and help launch our priorities, focused on Liveability, Sustainability, Connectivity and Leadership.

Liveability and sustainability in the face of inevitable population growth, continues to be a key issue for members and renewable energy will play a big part in our region’s economy with the potential to unlock investment and employment growth.

Connectivity continues a key element in our advocacy with continued focus on regional rail to Melbourne and from Ballarat to other regional cities. Connectivity will also have a role in social connectedness including the important network opportunities that we will continue to provide for our members – we hope some form of face to face opportunities will commence in the not too distant future.

Leadership, through LBWR is in its 15th year with Committee. Our recent review of the past 5 years of delivery continue to show strong support for LBWR and we need to continue to engage our Alumni and employers as we look to extend the leadership offering for the region.

If you missed the webinar you can watch CEO, Michael Poulton briefly outline the priorities in this video.
