Committee for Ballarat Chair Damian Ross has decided to step down as Chair a few months prior to the AGM and take up the opportunity to travel. We wish he and his wife Janet safe travels through this vast country of ours.
Damian’s leadership has been substantial and we thank him for his outstanding contribution to the work of Committee over the past two years. His leadership through the worst months of the COVID pandemic helped position Committee at the forefront of our community’s Vaccination program. He has led the Board in introducing a Not-For-Profit membership and has advocated strongly for our collaborative approach to renewable energy.
Damian is passionate about the role that Committee plays in our region. He believes in our Purpose and Vision and the enduring partnerships we build with members and key stakeholders to provide the framework that helps deliver a thriving and vibrant regional community recognised for its liveability, sustainability, and inclusiveness. He will continue to be a strong advocate for our region.
The Board is currently in the process of selecting and appointing a new Chair and Rod Walton (CEO Haymes Paint) will assume the role of Interim Chair.
