For all our Tax Accountant members – Happy New Year is just days away and marks the end of FY25. It also marks a new financial year, one that we hope shows great signs for our regions’ prosperity and vibrancy.
With that in mind, Committee for Ballarat will host the Victorian state Treasurer, the Hon. Jaclyn Symes for lunch on 23 July. Members will be advised as to when they can get access to their tickets. The Treasurer will give her frank assessment of the state’s budget and forecast and will take questions facilitated by our Corporate Gold member 3BA’s Ballarat Today host, Brett Macdonald.
This will be an opportunity for our members to both advocate and continue to seek accountability from our state government for the decisions they make in relation to our region’s development. We look forward to our members attending.
Mid-year is also a time to celebrate with Winter RTD – (Round Table Dinner). Our special guest is Olympic and World Champion Steve Hooker who has quite literally lived our theme of Aiming High.
Having successfully transition from a world class professional athlete to the founder and director of iHi Projects a Development Management Service dedicated to delivering sustainable, affordable, healthy homes and communities.
Aiming High has also been the driver for one of Committee for Ballarat’s greatest Adele Nairn. Adele has accepted a role as Partnership and Community Specialist with Haymes Paint and we are delighted to see her taking her career to new heights. Adele has worked across all areas of the business, in most recent years as our Leadership Programs Lead. Her expertise and corporate knowledge are irreplaceable. She will be missed and we are delighted for her!
