what we do

Our work covers Ballarat and western region, extending north to include the Hepburn Shire, south to include the Golden Plains Shire, and west to include the Pyrenees Shire.

We work across all three tiers of government and our message is clear – Ballarat and the region is a dynamic regional centre that provides attractive lifestyle opportunities, sound connectivity, strong employment and investment prospects, and has a focus on innovation and sustainability.

Ballarat region’s population is currently around 170,000 and this is projected to increase to approx. 260,000 by 2056*.  In the face of our growing population, we aim to ensure our liveability and prosperity are enhanced.
