Connectivity

Connecting Ballarat to the world.

Ballarat must advance key connectivity infrastructure that will enhance our liveability, prosperity, innovation, safety and social connectedness.

Improved connectivity drives; productivity, investment and visitation.

Infrastructure needs to keep pace with our increasing population and to facilitate economic activity within our region.

Our Connectivity project team aims to:

Advocate for the continued development of the next generation of fast, high frequency regional rail service to Melbourne Southern Cross Station to energise growth in regional Victoria and Ballarat.

Position sustainability as a key principle in our long term focus to future-proof transport systems for future generations.

Support new initiatives to promote active transport with the aim of reducing the reliance on cars in the city.

Attract and secure investment in Road, Rail and Air priority projects.

Enhance rail links to regional centres beyond Ballarat.

Collaborate with members and stakeholders on initiatives that enhance our physical and social connectedness.
