City of Ballarat

Ballarat City Council is elected by the community to set the strategic direction and policy of the municipality. The City of Ballarat delivers Council’s direction and policy, and is responsible for advising Council; providing resources; complying with statutory and regulatory responsibilities; delivering projects, services, events and other initiatives required under legislation or other levels of government; and implementing Council decisions.

The organisation is one of Ballarat’s largest employers, with more than 1000 people delivering more than 100 services to the community.

Selkirk

In over 135 years of existence Selkirk Brick has progressed from a small part time business having one employee under a single proprietor, to a large clay brick manufacturer with a staff of 90, which produces and markets 50 million bricks per year.
